COUNTY GOVERNMENT

As Collin County continues growing, so too are the expenses and costs of services.  Continued inflation also causes extreme rises in costs.  It is more important than ever to function as efficiently as possible to avoid causing extreme financial impact to us all.

LAW ENFORCEMENT SUPPORT

One of the core functions of the county is to help provide a safe environment for its residents.  We are blessed to have the most professional law enforcement in our Sheriff’s Office and Constable’s Offices.  These agencies need support to stay ahead of crime in the county and to keep the county safe.

PROPERTY OWNERS' RIGHTS

It is the unalienable right for each property owner to peacefully enjoy their property.  One of the core duties of any elected official is to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States and of the State of Texas.  It is important to not just utter these words but stand by them. Our rights to our property should not be infringed on my governmental agencies.

AGING INFRASTRUCTURE

Roadways are one of the largest expenses of any governmental agency.  If left or allowed to deteriorate too far, then expenses can mount up quickly. It is important that Collin County never be in a “catch up” position but rather bring roadways up to appropriate standards and maintained them.  There are also numerous roads that share multiple jurisdictional boundaries, where the maintenance falls on the state, city, and county together, and the county must be willing to work as a mediator to address these poor state of the roads that we use for travel on a daily basis.

GOVERNMENT TRANSPARNECY

Government obtains its powers from the people and not the other way around.  It is important that residents are kept up to date and have access to the information that can show them what is happening at the County level of government.
